Who We Are
Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person – the gift of life. A decision to donate your blood can save a life, or even several if your blood is separated into its components – red cells, platelets and plasma – which can be used individually for patients with specific conditions.
As a volunteer you will work at blood drives and help schedule appointments. You might enjoy volunteering with Red Cross Blood Services if you enjoy meeting new people, if you’re super organized, or if you like being out and about in the community.
What We Do
Volunteer Duties:
- Canteen Workers: Help prepare and serve food to donors.
- Scheduler: Sets up appointments for next drive and notes donors who receive gallon pins.
- Receptionist: Checks in donors as they come in, provides them with required reading and directs them to the next location.
