Catholic Charities, a member of Catholic Charities USA, provides services for people in need, regardless of faith. In Southwest Kansas, we work to support individuals and families in the following ways:
Adoption Services - Adoption is a lifelong process and an intergenerational journey. We serve all members of the adoption triad—couples, adoptees, birth parents, siblings, and adoptive families—by providing comprehensive information, ongoing emotional support, and search and reunion assistance. We also work to educate the public, especially young women, health care personnel, and other social service providers, about quality adoption services, especially as an alternative to abortion.
Pregnancy Support - We offer free pregnancy support for all women regardless of age, income, marital status or religious affiliation. This is a free service. Pregnancy support includes emotional support to work through emotions and feelings; information so that all options are known before any decisions are made, and skills to help women make the best decision for herself and her baby.
Counseling Services - The Catholic Charities Behavioral Health Services Program includes individual, family, group and marriage counseling, with a special emphasis on trauma support. Services are available for children three years old and older, adolescents, and adults.
Housing Assistance - Catholic Charities is the housing resource for people in southwest Kansas. Working with Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and other local agencies, Catholic Charities works to provide housing solutions for those who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness.

We walk with immigrants and refugees on their path from arrival to citizenship and help them rebuild their lives. Our services are designed to help immigrants and refugees overcome culture shock, create their first home, secure documents, achieve economic self-sufficiency, integrate successfully into their community, and prepare them for citizenship.
Legal Immigration Services - Catholic Charities is accredited by the US Department of Justice to provide low-fee Legal Immigration Services, including consultations and assistance with immigration documents. Each case is filed and monitored through an all-in-one comprehensive immigration case management solution that gives clients web portal access to all of their paperwork and the current status of their case.
Safe Release Support - Catholic Charities works with Lutheran Social Services to promote the safety and well-being of unaccompanied children apprehended in the United States by conducting fingerprints for adult sponsors of unaccompanied minors, in order to safely place minors in their care.
Disaster Response - Catholic Charities is the disaster response organization of the Catholic Church. In the event of a disaster, Catholic Charities works with local agencies, vendors and subcontractors to provide critical services such as emergency food, shelter, direct financial assistance, counseling, and long-term support, regardless of faith, creed, race, or socioeconomic status.
